Résumé de l’activité
Not sure what your next step is? Feeling the pressure to “figure it all out”? You’re not alone. This virtual career lab series is designed for youth (ages 15-30) who want practical, real-world tools to explore their future without needing a perfect plan. Each session is a hands-on lab where you’ll connect your interests, values, and skills to real ideas, and actually build something you can use right away.
Instead of just talking about careers, you’ll:
- Explore what matters to you (not just what you “should” do)
- Learn how to break down job postings and expectations
- Create pieces for your personal career portfolio (resume content, proof statements, plans, and more)
Each session includes a short pre-work activity, interactive exercises, and a final takeaway you can keep building on. By the end of the series, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and a set of tools, skills, and confidence to take your next step.
What you’ll gain:
- A stronger understanding of your strengths, values, and interest Confidence talking about your skills in applications and interviews
- A growing career portfolio you can actually use
Who it’s for: Youth (ages 15–30) who are exploring careers, building confidence, or preparing for work/ school.
Why join: Because your career doesn’t need to be a straight line; you just need a starting point. This series helps you build one step at a time.
The Youth Summer Series meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom. For more information, contact Bryanna Regimbald, Program Lead, Come to Work at bryanna.regimbald@cnib.ca.
